  • Efficient mechanical and lighting systems, as well as glazing and envelope construction, reduce the building’s energy consumption by over 14%.
  • The construction of this campus provides a 55% reduction in potable water use for landscape irrigation, 43% reduction in indoor water consumption and a 14% reduction in building energy use.

INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY


  • All interior finishes (adhesives, sealants, sealant primers, paints, coatings, flooring systems, and composite wood and agrifiber products) contain low levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) to reduce indoor air contamination, thus improving the indoor air quality and interior environment.

LANDSCAPING & GROUNDS


  • Drought tolerant landscaping and high-efficiency irrigation fixtures reduce the use of potable water for irrigation by 55%.
  • High-efficiency, low-flow water closets, urinals, lavatory faucets, kitchen sinks, and shower heads were installed to reduce annual water use by over 43%.
  • The site design decreases the quantity of stormwater discharge into nearby waterbodies, and also improves the discharged water quality.
